Abstract
In 220 cabin crew working in a commercial airline in Lima, the relationship between burnout and quality of life was evaluated. The type of research used was nonexperimental quantitative, being descriptive correlational, using the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) and the Olson and Barnes Quality of Life Scale for data collection. The study identified high levels as prevalent levels (22.7% high and 24.5% moderate), likewise, significant differences p<0.05 were identified in general burnout and its dimensions, depersonalization, emotional exhaustion according to age and time at work. In relation to quality of life, it was found that 27.3% of cabin crew perceive it as very low, 22.7% as low, 25.5% as medium and only 24.5% as high, identifying significant differences p<0.05 according to age, number of children and time at work. The study concluded, identifying a negative and significant correlation p<0.05 between quality of life with burnout at a general level and its dimensions; depersonalization and emotional exhaustion and a positive and significant correlation p<0.05 between quality of life and personal fulfillment.
